Create a role for Revaly

In Account settings › Roles you create one with catalog read access, price read and change access, and orders read access.
Step 2

Generate the keys

In API keys you generate an App Key with that role and copy its App Token. Revaly tests the connection before saving it.

Revaly brings in your SKUs, categories, stock and sales, and starts comparing them with your competitors’ prices.

It reads the list price, not the sale price.

With a promotion running, VTEX shows the discounted price. Revaly takes your list price as the reference, detects the promotion and, while it lasts, its strategies do not suggest a price for it. Your margin floor is never calculated on an already-discounted price.

In VTEX every variant is a SKU. Revaly tracks and updates each one’s price separately, so adjusting one size never moves the others.

Frequently asked questions about Revaly and VTEX

Do I need to install an app from the VTEX App Store?
No. Revaly connects with an App Key and an App Token you generate in your admin, tied to a role with just the right permissions.
Does Revaly work per product or per SKU?
Per SKU. Every size and color has its own price, its own competitor comparison and its own strategy.
What happens to SKUs on promotion?
Revaly detects them on every sync and, by default, its strategies do not suggest a price for them while the promotion is active. You can change that behavior in each strategy.
What permissions does the role need?
Catalog read access, price read and change access, and orders read access.
Does Revaly change my prices on its own?
Revaly calculates the price and you decide. You see the suggestion next to each competitor’s price and apply it to your VTEX store in one click, without leaving the dashboard.
How often are competitor prices checked?
Revaly checks them automatically: every day on paid plans, at the time you choose, and once a week on the Free plan. And if you need a price right away, you can run an instant check with your credits.
